Welcome to the “Gorilla Garden” at The Sheldon, where Steve has turned a bit of parking lot space into a thriving green oasis! 🌿 If you can’t find Steve, he’s usually out here carefully inspecting the leaves, admiring the pollinators, and showing off Swiss chard that could double as an umbrella.

Here’s a quick tour of what’s growing in our beds:

Nasturtiums: Beautiful, edible flowers that taste great and double as a trap crop to keep pests away from other plants. 🏵️

Dill & Fennel: Delicious herbs that double as pollinator magnets once they flower. 🐝

Tree Kale & Swiss Chard: Massive, colorful, and harvestable all season long—we’ve even started sharing extra kale with the neighbors! 🥬

Dahlias: The bright, colorful stars of the front border garden that keep blooming right up until the first frost. 🌺

For Steve, gardening is all about experimenting and getting some seeds in the ground and seeing what pops up! 🌱✨

This welcoming haven has now been redefined by the talent of an artist Cami San who has left her mark in every brushstroke.

In this setting, the beauty of the imperfect comes to life. The botanical paintings delicately layered over the natural marks of the wall and the period fireplace are not mere decorative details; they are a celebration of authenticity and history blending with modernity. The artist found a living canvas in the rough texture of the wall, where fluttering leaves and colourful birds seem to emerge from the structure itself.

Every corner is an invitation to slow down, connect and appreciate the art that surrounds us. Come and experience unforgettable moments in our lounge!

A “home away from home”. Our dear friend Steven shares what makes the atmosphere here so relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone!

Seeing dreams and visions come to life stage by stage takes time, effort, and hard work. From our first meeting years ago during the transition at the Sheldon to becoming an honorary member of this extended family, Steven’s journey with us is truly special.
