The Pier Hotel would like to send our best wishes to all affected with the Claremont Fire this morning. A big well done to all the Claremont staff for a smooth evacuation and to the Fire Brigade, Police and Ambulance services for your prompt response. We're just glad that all the Claremont staff and guests that visited us this morning were safe and well and a bit warmer after a cup of tea and some refreshments!
Our thoughts go out to all those affected! ♥️

Beachy Head is a chalk headland in East Sussex, immediately east of Eastbourne. The cliff is the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, rising to 162 metres (531 ft) above sea level. The cliffs of Beachy Head give stunning views over Eastbourne and the English Channel.

The area is a popular tourist attraction. Walk from the foot of Beachy Head or climb to the top for dramatic views of the famous red and white-stripped lighthouse.

Wheelchair users can also enjoy the area by using the accessible Peace Path on Beachy Head.
