With the returning of the lovely Spring warmth we've been getting creative and investing in training...
Chris has recycled some metal mesh to upgrade our bird feeding station so that the little birds can get a chance to enjoy the seed and fat balls ahead of the nesting season.
As well as keeping up to date with safeguarding courses, we've also brought our climbing kit PPE Inspection in-house, completing an approved RoSPA course.
As we enhance our nature experiences at the Peak Centre, Stu has been working towards the 'FGASA NQF2 Nature Site Guide' qualification (which has many useful ecology topics relevant to us here in Edale) and 'Leading A Bat Walk/Experience' course, with a view to sharing future opportunities on-site.

Recycling, refurbishment and rustic creativity at The Peak Centre.
Chris has been busy carving a new set of outdoor seats & we've added a dinky logo too.
We've also refreshed the Kay Valance seating memorial, originally sponsored by her family, so that many more future visitors, young and not-so-young, can enjoy this quiet corner surrounded by nature and birdsong.

Over the past few months Stu has rejuvenated all our room name signs, culminating in this superb front of house welcome, carved from solid wood and hand painted.
