We had the most amazing review today. I won’t mention the guest by name, you know who you are. Thank you so much to everyone who visits us here. For you to then take the time to write a review really makes us feel that what we are providing is worthwhile:-

“Some places will stay in your memories for all the good reasons and Thatched Cottage B&B is such a place. First impressions are important and the fact that the cottage is easy to find from the roadside and that there was secure on-site parking got us off to a good start. Things just got better from there. Wendy and Ivor are charming hosts and were on hand to offer help and advice if needed. Our accommodation, "The Tool Shed", was in an idyllic location overlooking the fields with our own outside seating area. It was exceptionally clean, very well designed & furnished and everything seemed brand new. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent with very nice toiletries provided. The in-room breakfast worked very well and comprised a good choice of quality products and there was a very good selection of teas & coffees. Crockery and cutlery are provided, as is a decent sized microwave & fridge so you can always eat in if you wish. We took up Wendy's recommendation of a delivery from a local Indian restaurant "Quality Tandoori". The food was fabulous and they delivered straight to our door! It is within an easy and safe five-minute walk to Hever Castle and "King Henry VIII" pub both of which are worth a visit. We cannot find any fault with "Thatched Cottage B&B" and would recommend it to anybody looking for exceptional accommodation within a peaceful & quiet location. We would not hesitate to stay here again.”

Waddling out of our flower bed came the duck straight at us to say hello. Following her were seven ducklings making a racket like noisy children, demanding to be fed!
Well, fed they were from our back door. Then a 20 minute bath in our pond and off she goes taking them down our field and out the lower gate, across the road and on to the river.
I hope they make adulthood and you enjoyed the photos. Our guests enjoyed the novelty. We live cheek by jowl with the natural kingdom, we just need to slow up and open our eyes.
