"St Andrew’s Day is our official national day, named after St Andrew the patron saint of Scotland. This 30th November in Edinburgh, St Andrew Square will fittingly become the venue for a programme of fun and family friendly events to celebrate all things Scottish.

Events include Scottish Storytelling and Country Dancing in the Spiegeltent, and Pipe Music, Fiddle Playing and Soul Singing on the Main Stage.

There will also be special events taking place on the brand new St Andrew Square ice rink, including free skate sessions, curling demonstrations, skating performances and an unforgettable display of Celtic Fire Theatre from Pyroceltica.

There are plenty of children’s activities available, such as face painting, fancy dress and even a Haggis Hunt.

Other highlights include Historical tours of St Andrew Square and the surrounding area, and the new Scottish Market showcasing some of the best of Scottish food, drink and crafts."

The full programme of St Andrews Day events is available on the Edinburgh’s Christmas website: http://www.edinburghschristmas.com/whats-on/st-andrews-day
