Blackhills is a Morayshire Estate consisting of farms, woodlands and moorland. It is situated six miles from Elgin overlooking the Laich of Moray. Blackhills garden is famous for its collection of rare Chinese plants. There are four holiday cottages situated in the grounds of Blackhills House. They are particularly suited to people who enjoy secluded countryside walks. The 70 acre woodland garden

with lochans, burns and rare plants is a particular attraction. There is a tennis court that is available for the use of guests. Local facilities include golf courses, riding, fishing and the Moray coast. There is a pottery studio in the grounds with a showroom for retail sales.

We had a great day for our opening on Sunday. The sun shone all day long and hundreds of visitors came and enjoyed walking through the garden. We were able to donate (just shy of) £3000 to Children 1st - who provided excellent home made teas! The photograph, looking across the pond, was taken by Trisha Roberts, one of our visitors.
