Just had a cancellation for the week from 7-14th August. £85 per night for the weekdays and £100 for Friday and Saturday. Here's what our last guest, Sophie, said in her Airbnb review....

“Exceptional hospitality is hard to define and even harder to find, but Gaynor has totally cracked it. The hut is perfect in every way; genuinely stylish, really comfortable (an excellent powerful shower in a hut, who'd have thought!) and with ultimate bucolic view out across a meadow, towards pub and church. The garden is very special with some seriously lovely planting around the hut. We ate dinner one night at The Poacher (excellent ham, egg and chips and decent bottled ale, plus v good bakewell pudding with custard!). The second night we cooked sausages and courgettes over a fire outside the hut and drank good red wine all from the community shop just 5 minutes walk down the drive. To return to Gaynor's exceptional hospitality, what really made our stay lovely was the friendliness of the welcome from all the family, dogs included, and the way that were made to feel like new friends. We would love to return.”

With a stunning winter garden, overlooking fields and bringing you something different to look at everyday. It’s the perfect getaway in the country but only a few miles from central Cambridge. Completely self contained and with a delicious breakfast supplied. Book through Airbnb and come and enjoy a break in the country. You can book your stay at the hut through Airbnb. It’s the perfect place to come and relax and take a moment to gather your thoughts and go home feeling refreshed.

Creating a cozy get away from it all....

It was my ambition for years to buy a Shepherd’s Hut, and run it as a B&B. My husband took a little persuading, but now is as thrilled as I am with Avenue Farm Shepherd’s Hut, proudly showing our latest visitors the lovely, luxurious getaway we’ve created. I wanted the Hut to be the kind of place that we ourselves would like to stay, and I have focussed on every detail. It is decorated and furnished to a very high spec, from the Dualit toaster to the sheepskin rug and the Toast bedlinen.

In the summer the guests have the use of their own private garden, planted with native plants and grasses that attract butterflies and bees, and have their own BBQ and chiminea. In the winter the radiators provide all the warmth they need for a truly snug stay. The bed is super comfy, with feather and down pillows and duvet, and there is a TV with remote, so guests can snuggle down in the bed chamber and watch telly, or simply admire the view of the 1,000 year old church at the bottom of the garden.

The double shower provides lashing of hot water, and the loo is connected to the mains, so no nasty chemicals. Guests are provided with locally made, organic soaps, shampoo and moisturiser.

I supply locally-sourced sausages, bacon, eggs from our own hens, and cereal, croissants and juice. There is a fridge and a hob in the Hut and guests enjoy cooking their own breakfasts at their own leisure. There is also a toastie maker and microwave, so if folks don’t fancy the five minute walk to our local, thatched pub, they can cook their own supper in the Hut!
