The Dog & Duck is turning 4 this week 🎉
We opened on 2nd June 2022...seems like yesterday....

What an interesting time to start a pub...

We have navigated energy costs, rising grain and beer costs, leaking roofs, flooding cellars and even Rachel Reeves!

So this week (4th–7th June), we’re putting a bit of nostalgia on the table and going 'Old Skool' —with a slice of proper school cake - soft sponge, icing, sprinkles… and yes, plenty of custard for £4 all weekend.

We'll also be sharing a few posts of our favourite memories from the last few years... can you see yourself in any..?

A massive thank you to all of you who have made this all possible and that keep coming back for more!

Its always great to see our brewers in this little part of the world being promoted- that said-
there were many brewers underrepresented in this months which was all about brewing, distilling and brewers in Northern Ireland- (this is a monthly subscription service from Beer52 ).

We could think of nothing better to do today on the HOTTEST DAY EVER than to get in the van and go to Lough Gill Brewery in Sligo to collect beer!!!

That's right its the first of our festival beer collections.

It's always a pleasure to see James- he has a coffee bar also now don't you know- Fab coffee too- Sligo.

Really exciting times for Lough Gill- with Brian and James at the helm- keep your eyes peeled for details of our upcoming trip with CAMRA Fermanagh and West Branch -
We got an amazing beer for the festival as always!! A great Boann Distillery collaboration! Nothing but the best!
