Situated on a wooded hilltop just outside Enniskillen, Dromard offers a range of accommodation at keen rates. Fully serviced B&B is available. In addition, we can offer a room only rate suitable for medical and nursing student placements, and those on courses at CAFRE, South West College, Working at Height courses etc. The Granary Suite offers a one bedroom self-catering apartment which is fully s
elf-contained. There is ample off-road parking and our guests are welcome to enjoy the garden, and woodland path going down to Lough Erne at Tamlaght Bay. Dromard is a working beef and sheep farm, producing Aberdeen Angus beef for McDonalds and Marks and Spencer. Calves born in spring stay with their mother until they are weaned off in the autumn, prior to being housed for the winter months. They then enjoy another summer on farmland bordering the lough. Dromard is rich in native wildlife. Red squirrels and pine marten have made a comeback in recent years, buzzards are common, and sparrow hawks are occasionally seen. Hare, badger ,fox and hedgehog are also plentiful, and in summer 2020 we had baby long- eared owl chicks born here. We farm in a non-intensive way and our interests lie in enhancing and protecting the natural environment; in clean energy; in fresh, high quality local produce; in cruelty free cleaning products; in Fairtrade room supplies and in recycling. We have recently been selected as the Fermanagh TerraCycle hub. Dromard has been in the Weir family for 200 years, Clive's grandfather having inherited it in the 1960's. It is a special place, and it gives us great pleasure to share it with you...special times include February, when the snowdrops are in bloom; spring, when Clive's woodland garden of rhododendron, camelia, azalea and magnolia blossom, and then late May/early June when the bluebell woods come into their own. Just two miles out of a town which offers much in the way of entertainment and activities: a seven screen Omniplex, the Ardhowen Theatre by the Lakes, Cole's monument, great shopping, restaurants, three National Trust properties, Marble Arch Caves and Geopark, Enniskillen Castle Museum...the list goes on. And from here, on to the beaches of Donegal, lovely Leitrim, and Yeats Country, County Sligo. So whether you want a night, a weekend, a midweek break or an extended stay, message us directly for the best rates available, and we look forward to welcoming you to Dromard on our 30th Anniversary year... 2021.
