This October, that connection will be celebrated with the first WildeDay, a free community event bringing Oscar’s words, wit and spirit back to the streets of his hometown.

πŸ“… Saturday 17 October 2026 – WildeDay across Enniskillen

Expect Victorian costume, live music, drama, dance, readings and performances popping up in businesses and public spaces throughout the town.

WildeDay is about more than literature. It’s about celebrating Enniskillen, Fermanagh and the creativity and culture that continue to thrive here today. We’re delighted to see the local arts community, businesses and residents coming together to make this special event happen.

From 10am–4pm on Saturday, Enniskillen will become a stage for stories, performances and moments of fun and discovery for all ages.

So save the date and join us in celebrating a literary legacy that is uniquely ours.
