🚒🔥 FREE DRINKS FOR OUR FIREFIGHTERS 🔥🚒

Given just how hard our fire crews have been working, particularly through the recent hot and exceptionally dry conditions, we wanted to do something small to show our appreciation.

From today, serving firefighters can enjoy their first drink on us at Ye Olde Red Horse. 🍺☕

This isn't just a one-off.

🚒 The offer will run every August from now on.

And when our local crews are dealing with major incidents, extreme weather or other periods where they're working exceptionally hard to protect our community, we'll switch it back on then too.

Whether it's a pint on your 'off day', a soft drink, or a tea or coffee while on duty days, you're welcome.

It's only a drink. But it's our way of saying thank you to the people putting themselves out there to keep the rest of us safe.

Proof of service required. One complimentary drink per serving firefighter, per visit. Alcohol only available to those aged 18+ and off duty.

We have called it - the kitchen is now closed until friday due to excessive heat with tomorrow forecast as 37-38 in trading hours, our kitchen roughly operates about 10 degrees hotter than this with our fan system on and minimal cooking equipment and staff deserve to be happy and healthy. Sorry for any inconvenience caused

17 weeks ago today, we took on Ye Olde Red Horse.

It's certainly been a journey. We've faced more than our fair share of challenges, but we've overcome every single one of them, and we're only just getting started.

Here's just some of what we've achieved so far:
• Refreshed the walls and floors to breathe new life into the building. • Replaced every light bulb so the lighting is consistent throughout.
• Installed a new boiler, fridges, freezers, bottle coolers, cellar cooling system, ice machine (pending delivery), hotel beds and bedroom furniture.
• Made the frontage more welcoming with new outdoor seating and barriers.
• Increased sales by as much as 300% in some weeks.
• Welcomed Daisy, our rescue German Shepherd, to the family... along with her seven completely unplanned puppies! 🐶

We've navigated plenty of turbulence, but we're incredibly proud of where we are today. The business is moving in the right direction, and with everything we have planned for autumn, winter and beyond, we genuinely believe the best is yet to come.

To everyone who has visited, supported us, recommended us or simply popped in for a pint or a meal... thank you. It means more than you know.
And if you haven't been in since we arrived, consider this your little nudge... 👀

Cuteness overload for me but we would like to share our news of puppies with all pf our customers old and new. Daisy had a smooth delivery and great maternal instinct and is doing absolutely fine 🥰 baron is still hungry, he has been for almost 6 years 🤣😒
