Did you know? A stay in Ewyas Harold is beautifully rural, yet also ultra convenient. Once you've arrived at Hillside you'll have some great amenities right on your doorstep, and there's plenty to do without even needing to get in the car. The village has a village store, two pubs, a fish and chip shop, a butchers shop, 2 nearby garages (just in case!) and a stunning125‑acre common full of wildlife.

The village also links directly into some of the best walking routes in the Golden Valley.

The location is fabulous, whether you love walking, wildlife spotting, going to the pub for a meal or just putting your feet up in our lovely garden. Why not ditch the car for a few days and just enjoy getting to know the village and surroundings - you'll be glad you did!

Who loves a decent tramp through the countryside, but nothing too strenuous? If you do, then this walk from the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust will tick a lot of boxes I think!

It literally starts a few steps down the road from Hillside, so couldn't be more convenient. Wherever you're walking today - we hope you are getting out to enjoy the last of the summer weather, because it'll soon be scrunching through leaves time won't it!

At Hillside, we’re so lucky to have woodland walks just moments away - on the beautiful Ewyas Harold Common. Spanning around 125 acres, the common is a mix of ancient woodland, open glades, wildflower meadows, and plenty of wildlife. It's a great place to take an early evening stroll before heading to one of our local pubs and tucking in to a hearty meal!
