During the cooler months the real log-burning fire creates a lovely atmosphere whilst in warmer months you can sit outside in our beer garden which enhances this charming restaurant and pub watering hole. Our Chefs take real pleasure in cooking culinary delights and delicacies using Devon's finest produce that always reflects the season of the year. With a well thought out wine list to compliment our menus which change regularly, along with a high level of service, one can look forward to food cooked to perfection and an afternoon or evening of something just that little bit special.

🔥 Meet Rich Oberholster – Head Chef & Food Enthusiast!

Rich has spent 25 years in the hospitality and catering industry, including 20 years leading the kitchen as a Head Chef. Trained and qualified at Exeter College, he brings a wealth of culinary experience, creativity, and passion for great food to everything he does.

After 17 years at House of Marbles and 3.5 years at BFK, Rich has now brought his experience and love of cooking to The Blue Ball, where he’s ready to introduce exciting new dishes, fresh flavours, and a creative twist on classic favourites!

When he’s not in the kitchen, Rich is a proud husband and dad of two lovely girls. You’ll find him firing up the BBQ, cheering on the Exeter Chiefs, or chasing the perfect round of golf!

Great food, family, BBQs, and friendly competition — that’s Rich’s recipe for a good life! 🔥🏈⛳
