One of our local favourites..
There's been some hard work going on over the past few years to help uncover the history of Fingle Mill.
It was built in the 17th century, at a similar time to the near by Fingle Bridge, making it a key location for picking up passing trade.
From the start it performed two main functions, grinding corn and fulling, which is a process in woollen cloth making which involves pounding the cloth to clean it.
Now is a great time of year to view the uncovered remains of the mill and perhaps explore some of the woodland tracks around there too.
