Our first visit to Chatsworth House on the eve of its re-opening for 2023. Innisfree Cottage is just a 15 minute drive from this beautiful stately home. Enjoy the delights of the house, gardens and stunning grounds. Chatsworth Park is free to wander through and enjoy the river and scenery if you don't want to visit the house. Just one of the many delights of being at the heart of the Peak District when staying with us.

Great news for all our 2023 guests is that we are keeping our prices at 2022 rates. We have just been awarded a 5 from the Food Standards Agency and of course that three course breakfast is included in the price of your room. This is in addition to free parking, wifi plus loads of little extras to make your stay with us a special one. We do not increase our rates at weekends or bank holidays so why not treat yourselves in the New Year and come and sample some Peak District hospitality. Excellent walking, lovely country pubs to snuggle down with a cheeky drink and some great little towns and villages to wander round and enjoy the odd coffee and cake. What's not to like!

The Peak District is a lovely place to visit as a pre Christmas treat. Start the day with a 3 course breakfast before experiencing the market town of Bakewell, which is a short 15 minute drive from Innisfree Cottage. With its quirky shops, cosy pubs and plenty of tea rooms and coffee houses to choose from it is a great place for last minute Christmas shopping. Chatsworth House is also a must see visit with a Nordic Christmas theme, which enables you to wander through the house and experience scenes inspired by Nordic fairy tales. The Chatsworth Garden Christmas light trail offers an experience of the 'Northern Lights' and the famous Chatsworth maze illuminated with lights and music is the perfect backdrop to this splendid stately home. . After a perfect day drive back 15 minutes to Innisfree Cottage for a cosy cuppa before a meander down to the village for a Christmas tipple or a lovely meal. Innisfree Cottage is back in business although actually we never left. Had problems with Facebook but now back on it so am pleased to say we are still open. We now have two rooms for bed and breakfast both on the first floor with lovely views of Eyam. Our deluxe double room with en-suite is also available as a twin.
