Update on the calf, he has now developed patella luxation, first in his right hind leg and now his left. This is causing him to walk crouched and I am contemplating surgery, a friendly orthopaedic surgeon has offered to help, hopefully in a couple of weeks, it’s either that or putting him to sleep so we’ll give it a go. Apart from that he is feeding well and happy

Just over 1 week ago Hattie the fatty (Emma’s beautiful heifer) went into labour.
We had to call the vet to help her calve. It was a long and difficult birth, but the calf was born alive and Hattie was fine but very sore. We have been milking Hattie and bottle feeding the calf and finally he was able to stand. He is now up and suckling by himself!!!
