That’s right, all our favourites, served bright and early! Think black pudding, mushy peas, arancini, battered cod sausages, chips… and of course, a perfectly fried egg on top.

Who says fry-ups have to be traditional? 😉

Thank you to all of our lovely guests who have visited Dale Cottage this year. We hope you all had a great stay and look forward to seeing many of you returning in 2026.

This year, we’re focusing on painting the external windows (not very exciting 🤣) and will be doing some more work in the garden. I’m thinking big white hydrangeas 🌺 and we’re going to try again with a wildflower patch at the back. Wish us luck 🍀

Two of Dale Cottage’s favourite pubs, both called the White Horse, have made it onto the good food guides top 100 pubs 🤩🤩

The White horse at Holme and at Brancaster staithe are always on our list of places to visit whenever we’re in Thornham.

Give them a try and you definitely won’t be disappointed. 😎🤩

What a find!

The artisan bakery at the white horse on Holme next the sea has opened.

Open from 8am to 4pm, it bakes and serves freshly baked bread as well as delicious breakfasts and my favourite cardamom rolls.

It also serves a mean cup of coffee which you can enjoy inside the barn or outside in their beautiful grounds.

Definitely one to earmark for the summer.

Celebrating 10 years of Eric’s! I can still remember when it opened which is making me feel rather old! Anyway thank you Eric's Fish and Chips for 10 years of fabulous fish and chips. We ALWAYS visit Eric’s on every visit without fail and you never disappoint EVER! X
