The Parlour for a delicious brekkie, then the 4.5mile circular with the spaniels, who eventually found some 💦 to cool down in - the drought showing big time, where there’s normally babbling brooks, there’s just dry cracked ground 😕

Safe to say I ADORE foxgloves ~ perhaps the love of Beatrix Potter books as a child, when Jemima Puddle-Duck walks through the woods and comes across Mr Fox 🦊, has had a lasting effect on me! Today they were sprinkled splendidly throughout Bintree woods. 🌲🌳🌲🌲🌲🌳💜

💆🏼‍♀️ We had a couple of treatments & then headed for the restaurant for lunch - the special today, crab salad 🦀

Quirky interior with lots of lovely links to pigs 🐽!! Staff were all lovely and attentive and we’ll defo be back for more!

Out the wooden gate, turn left, left again up the farmers track and into the countryside…. Breath…and
listen to the birds, the wind in the trees and maybe the odd rustle in the hedgerows of the wildlife that live here with us… 🦌 🐦🦔

📍 Guist - a village we pass through allllll the time, but never stopped at until today!

The iconic local landmark, Guist Clock Tower on the village Green, greets travellers on the Holt Road ~ built in 1935 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the accession to the throne of King George V and Queen Mary on the 6th May 1935.

Sir Thomas Cook commissioned the Clock Tower, and is part of the Sennowe Park history.

The Guist cafe/shop/post office is a lovely friendly setting for locals and passers by alike - so don’t do as we have always done & pass by - stop and pause there, you won’t be disappointed!!
