Out the wooden gate, turn left, left again up the farmers track and into the countryside…. Breath…and
listen to the birds, the wind in the trees and maybe the odd rustle in the hedgerows of the wildlife that live here with us… 🦌 🐦🦔

📍 Guist - a village we pass through allllll the time, but never stopped at until today!

The iconic local landmark, Guist Clock Tower on the village Green, greets travellers on the Holt Road ~ built in 1935 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the accession to the throne of King George V and Queen Mary on the 6th May 1935.

Sir Thomas Cook commissioned the Clock Tower, and is part of the Sennowe Park history.

The Guist cafe/shop/post office is a lovely friendly setting for locals and passers by alike - so don’t do as we have always done & pass by - stop and pause there, you won’t be disappointed!!

Here at Little Birch Cottage, we do our upmost to make our guests comfortable, happy and relaxed in their accommodation here in Norfolk 🌳

5* reviews are really rewarding. Why? Because it means all the hard work renovating Little Birch 🌳 Cottage during most of 2025, reading that our guests have enjoyed their stay & most importantly relaxed and slowed down in Norfolk!! That’s why!!

We’re about to launch our little cottage to the big wide world, and this means the last few months of receiving these reviews will pause…. But hopefully only for a while, they will always be there - and we will remember our guests words, because each & everyone meant so much. 🌎

Friday morning ~ a slow start to the weekend much needed ~ where better than ~ 10mins drive from the cottage 🌳

Come for coffee or breakfast 🥞 open Tuesdays to Sundays ~ breakfast served all day on a Sunday!!

Afterwards pop into the well stocked farm shop local fresh produce & gourmet delights ~ friendly staff makes this our absolute go to…. And why we recommend it to all our guests!!

A Family Christmas weekend, took us 15minutes down the road to meet Santa!
Very special for little ones, for us as Grandparents too! The Christmas sparkle ✨ lightening up faces all round.
you certainly make Christmas extra magical!

🎄🤶🏼 We made it to today for the Christmas Market - gosh it was busy!! But, mulled wine, wooden cabins selling amazing produce offered by so many lovely independent small businesses made it worthwhile
A selection of my favourites were there, and of course, we came home with the essentials! 🎄🤶🏼🎄

🎄👩🏻‍🌾🪏✨Who doesn’t love a Jazzy Garden Centre at this time of the year?! ✨🪏👩🏻‍🌾🎄

📍 is within 10mins from Little Birch 🌳 Cottage, and amongst the pretty lights, Christmas decorations (of which there is the biggest selection I’ve seen for miles) there are lovely plants, pots and pooches items 🐾🤍

From the littlest members of the family to the eldest (there’s a delicious cafe too!) there’s something for everyone here….

Oh, and vote for them too - The Best Garden Centre for miles! 🏆
