Meet our Head of Housekeeping, Imi.

We caught up with her to find out a little more about life at Penmere, her favourite Cornish spots and how she enjoys spending her time away from the hotel with her two boys.

1. What’s your role at Penmere Manor, and what’s your favourite part of the job?

I’m the Head of Housekeeping at Penmere Manor. My favourite part of the job is working alongside a great team and enjoying a chat with our lovely guests.

2. If someone was visiting Falmouth for the first time, what’s the one place you’d tell them they can’t miss?

I would definitely recommend Pendennis Castle. Not only can you learn about its fascinating history, but you also get fantastic views across the bay. You can even enjoy a lovely cream tea in the café!

3. What’s your favourite beach or coastal walk in Cornwall?

It would have to be Perranporth Beach. I secretly enjoy running down the sand dunes with my boys!

4. When you have a day off, how do you spend it?

I love spending quality time with my two boys, Alfie and Tommy.

5. What’s one hidden gem in Cornwall that you think more people should know about?

It’s not exactly hidden, but I would definitely recommend the Minack Theatre. If you want to watch a great show while enjoying panoramic views of the sea, it’s an incredible place to visit.

6. Why do you think guests love staying at Penmere Manor?

Penmere Manor is a quirky hotel with beautiful grounds and gardens. But what really makes it special is its character and the wonderful history behind it. It’s a place full of charm!

The cooler days are coming which means it’s time to get back in the gym. Winter is the perfect time to start a routine and build some good healthy habits!

Hotel guests have full access to the leisure facilities for the duration of thier stay. The Club is open only to hotel guests and club members between the hours of 7.00am and 9.00pm, and is not open to the general public. The facilities consist of an indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and a well-equipped small gymnasium.
