New in the Shepherd’s Hut this year is a lovely gas fired BBQ… so a few days ago we decided to give it a whirl! 🍗

The verdict?

Heinz definitely approved- it goes without saying, there wasn’t any leftovers! 😂

Tomorrow night is available- and we’ve decided to offer it as a 1 night stay (of course, you’re welcome to stay longer!!)

We’ve been informed this evening that a previous customer had a notification that No.2 Staycations had tried to take a payment from their bank account.

We would like to make it clear that we do not have any systems that allow us to process a payment in this manner- our payment systems are either directly through our website, or occasionally we have used Stripe which provides a link for payment.

If anyone else encounters this, please contact your bank immediately, as it is not us attempting any payments. We would also appreciate it if you would let us know.

We are investigating this as a matter of urgency, and apologise if anyone else has been affected.

Do you have a Reactive Dog that makes going away challenging? Or a dog that puts Harry Houdini to shame? Maybe you have multiple dogs, and everywhere you look only accepts one or two?

Look no further- we designed No.2 with our guests and their dogs in mind!

You’re probably wondering how we’ve done this… so this is what we’ve done.

🐶 The closed fencing around our Shepherd’s Hut is 5ft as a minimum, with no view in or out once the doors are shut.

🐶 If you’re staying the the Shepherd’s Hut, you’re the only guests on site. This means there’s no one to disturb your dog(s), and we will also avoid the area if we know it will upset them!

🐶 If a high jumper did manage to jump the 5ft fence - (which is highly unlikely as there are 7ft bushes in front), then the pathway and our driveway is also fenced and gated!

🐶 Struggling with the number of dogs you have? We obviously can't fit 5 English Shepherds in the Hut… but 5 poodles or small dogs are fine. Really depends on your comfort, and as long as you’re happy, so are we.

🐶 If your dogs usually sleep on your bed, it’s not a problem for us- we are happy for you to bring your own bedding or we can provide alternative bedding- we know what dogs are like- Heinz will sleep on our bed any chance he gets.

🐶 We also provide dog fleeces, poo bags, and bowls, there's even an outdoor bed if they fancy a sunbath.

🐶 Additionally, there is a hosepipe with spray to wash any muddy or sandy dogs. If you forget your dog towels, it’s not really not a bother! Just ask and we’ll grab you some.

This is our Nieces beautiful new Holiday Home in Filey, just a few minutes walk from Coble Landing. Fabulous for a family visit to Filey or for groups of friends.
