🪁 FILEY KITE FESTIVAL RETURNS THIS SEPTEMBER! 🪁

One of the Yorkshire Coast's most colourful family events is back as the skies above Filey fill with spectacular kites of every shape and size.

This FREE weekend promises plenty to see both in the air and on the ground.

✨ Highlights include:

🪁 Giant display kites flown by expert kite flyers

🌅 NEW for 2026 – Friday Night Flight (6:30pm–9:00pm) with illuminated kites lighting up the evening sky

🎡 Fairground rides
🍔 Food and drink traders
🛍️ Craft and gift stalls
🪁 Learn to fly a kite
🎨 Make your own kite
🐻 Weather permitting, don't miss the popular Teddy Bear Drop!

🕙 Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm

🐶 Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

🏍️✨ SCARBOROUGH GOLDWING LIGHT PARADE RETURNS ✨🏍️

📅 SATURDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 2026
📍 WEST PIER & SCARBOROUGH SEAFRONT

One of Scarborough’s most spectacular annual events returns this September, as illuminated Goldwing motorcycles take over the seafront! 🌊

🏍️ 12pm–4pm – Daytime static motorcycle display
✨ 8pm–9pm – Goldwing Light Parade
🎆 9.30pm – Fireworks from South Bay Beach

The brightly lit bikes will travel along Foreshore Road, around Marine Drive, loop at Peasholm and return to South Bay.

The event is FREE to watch and attracts thousands of visitors, with riders and bikes travelling from across the UK.

❤️ The event also raises thousands of pounds each year for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

First held in 2008, the Goldwing Light Parade has become a firm favourite in Scarborough's events calendar.
