Well that’s the end of an era for Bay View….. we are on our way to another home.
I’ve lost my amazing sea view 😢 but will soon be known as ‘Waters Edge’ overlooking the lakes and a 5 minute drive to the beach.
We will be upgrading to much larger decking with a seating area to the side as well as the front, new carpets and leather reclining sofas and the caravan will just be for our use only.
New beginnings in new surroundings…… but I will be back to visit in 2026!
Rather fitting that just after we left there was a rainbow that framed our empty pitch 🌈

This weekend I will be closing the door to Bay View Retreat. 🏖️
Thank you to all our lovely guests who stayed with us over the last few years and loved and looked after our lovely retreat as much as we do.
We are off to new ventures in the next couple of weeks and the caravan will now be for our use only.
I hope you all find somewhere just as nice for your future stays at Reighton xx

📣 Can I ask if any guest has accidentally gone home with one of the lilac throw/blanket from the basket in the lounge?
I wouldn’t normally bother but these match the caravan upholstery and I can’t get anymore 😞

I will be closing the doors at Bay View Retreat at the end of this season and will not be avaiable to rent in 2026.
I know a lot of guests are going to be really disappointed as some of you love it as much as I do 😍
Guests with bookings for the remaining of this season…. Don’t panic your bookings are secure and you can still go as planned. 👍

*Polite reminder for guests*
If you have any issues during your stay please get in touch and I will always get things sorted.
Yesterday I had to call a gas engineer out as the current guests couldn’t get any heat through the radiators.
Someone had removed my notice covering the dials on the boiler that says ‘Please do not change the dials on the heating’ they had changed the heating settings to water only and stuck the notice back on again.
This engineer call out was totally unavoidable if guests had not done this, but more importantly it disrupts other guests holidays having to have engineers visit the caravan during their stay.
