As of August 2026, a region-wide drought order was imposed due to the national water shortage and extremely dry conditions. In response, The Bay Filey Management Team has banned all BBQs across the entire village for safety reasons.
To clarify their strict policy:
No BBQs of any type are permitted — this includes electric, gas, charcoal, outdoor hot plates, or any other fuel type.
This rule applies to all properties and all areas of the resort without exception.
The resort management has stated that anyone found using a BBQ of any kind will be asked to leave the park immediately and may face a fine from resort management.
Because this is a mandatory site-wide safety mandate imposed by park management and regional authorities, it is unfortunately completely outside of our control as property owners. As per our booking terms, refunds cannot be offered for regional weather restrictions or resort-wide safety mandates.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this causes to your plans. The property's kitchen remains fully equipped with an indoor oven, grill, and cooking facilities so you can still enjoy hot meals during your stay. Alternatively, local restaurants offer plates of grilled food.
