We often ask ourselves why guests keep returning to Sparrow Point Holiday Home?
Maybe its the location with partial sea views, not far from the cliffs and coastal walks?
Maybe its the quality caravan with all the comforts and fixtures you need?
Perhaps its the secure wraparound decking which keeps your little ones safe? Or maybe its the free wifi?
Could it be that all bedding is provided with towels made from the best Egyptian cotton?
Some might think its the Welcome Pack and the even more welcoming bottle of wine?
We like to think its because we care. Our guests spend their hard earned money or pensions on their holidays, so we want to give them the best we can.
Sparrow Point Holiday Home isn't the cheapest at Thornwick Bay and it's certainly not the most expensive, but we like to think that we offer true value, year after year after year.

A very warm welcome to all our new followers. If you've not yet been to Thornwick Bay yet please arrange to visit sooner rather than later.

In addition to the wonderful coastal walks, just a short distance away is Sewerby Hall where tours are available. Don't forget to enjoy the surrounding gardens, petting zoo and the nine hole pitch & put course. The much acclaimed Bondville Model Village is just across the road and will be enjoyable for young and old alike.

PLANNING YOUR HOLIDAY AT THORNWICK BAY THIS AUTUMN?
Our Favourite Things to Do Nearby.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing stroll, a family adventure or somewhere to enjoy the stunning Yorkshire coastline, there's something for everyone just moments from your doorstep.

Visit Bempton Cliffs.

One of Yorkshire's most spectacular wildlife spots, Bempton Cliffs is just a scenic walk north along the coastal path. During the breeding season the cliffs come alive with thousands of seabirds, including gannets, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes. Don't forget your binoculars!

Go Rock Pooling.

For a classic seaside adventure, head to Thornwick Bay or North Landing at low tide. Search the rock pools for crabs, anemones and tiny fish, explore the sea caves, and enjoy one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in East Yorkshire. It's a favourite with families.

Walk to Flamborough Lighthouse.

A leisurely walk south along the cliff tops leads you to Flamborough Lighthouse. Along the way you'll enjoy breathtaking sea views, spot the resident seal colony below the cliffs, and see if you can find the famous "Drinking Dinosaur" rock formation.

Discover Danes D**e.

Just a few minutes away by car, Danes D**e Nature Reserve is a peaceful woodland leading down to a beautiful beach. It's an ideal place for a gentle walk and makes a great starting point for exploring the coastline towards South Landing or Bridlington.

Enjoy Flamborough Village.

Take time to wander around the village, browse the local shops, enjoy a traditional fish and chips, or stop for an ice cream after a day exploring. There are several welcoming cafés and pubs nearby if you're looking for a leisurely lunch or an evening meal.

Spend a Day in Bridlington.

Only a short drive away, Bridlington has everything you'd expect from a classic British seaside town. Stroll along the promenade, visit the harbour, enjoy the sandy beaches, browse independent shops or treat yourself to fresh seafood and fish and chips by the sea.

Walk the Yorkshire Coast.

The coastline around Flamborough is part of the spectacular King Charles III England Coast Path, offering unforgettable walks in both directions. Whether you're after a short stroll or a longer hike, you'll be rewarded with dramatic cliffs, hidden coves and incredible sea views.

Bringing Your Dog?
Dogs love it here too! There are plenty of fantastic walks to enjoy together. When walking close to the cliff edges, please keep your dog on a lead to help keep everyone safe.

If you're looking for a day out, booking a class at the Stained Glass Centre is a good choice. I went with friends and had afternoon tea after the class. The tearoom offers a dairy free option too, which was great for me. I now want to go again and make a different fused glass piece
