If you're looking for a day out, booking a class at the Stained Glass Centre is a good choice. I went with friends and had afternoon tea after the class. The tearoom offers a dairy free option too, which was great for me. I now want to go again and make a different fused glass piece

Race The Waves 2026 - Don't Miss Out On Your Luxury Accommodation For This Fantastic Event: September 11th to 13th 2026.

Hear the roar of the engines! Watch vintage vehicles and motorbikes race along Bridlington South Beach!
This is a unique event within the UK motoring calendar. It is a tribute to the past when Yorkshire beaches were the earliest places for land speed record attempts. Vehicles perform ‘spirited drag-races’ in pairs over a 200 yard course marked in the fresh tidal sand. Motorcycles are often in groups of 4 or 5 as they leave the start line.

Sparrow Point Holiday Home is ideally located withing the Thornwick Bay Holiday Park, and has all you need for you to enjoy this amazing event, spread over 3 days. Only £75 deposit is required.
