Our cosy Willerby Salsa is a 12 foot wide 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom caravan situated in the Windermere section of the park. It can comfortably cater for 6 to 7 people as there is one double bed, three single beds and a pull out sofa bed. Plus cot.
If you’re looking for a homely getaway, this is the caravan for you. It’s the perfect base to explore all that the Lake District has to offer. If like me you have young children, there is more than enough on the park to keep you entertained. It’s family and dog friendly and offers lots of activities for all ages to get involved with and make memories for life.
The local area has lots to offer. Grange over Sands and Cartmel are the closest villages with lots of independent pubs, restaurants and shops and scenic walks to explore.
The living area is spacious and has freestanding furniture, including a corner sofa (with pull out bed and single duvet) extendable dining table and extra chairs.
The main bedroom has a double bed, ample wardrobe and drawer space and a small television. The second bedroom has two single beds. The third bedroom has a single bed with space for the cot provided.
Two bathrooms.
The living room features a 40” television, DVD player, pre-programmed Megadrive games console, Nintendo and Wii. There are a selection of family films to entertain on rainy days.
The kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery, crockery, cups (plastic options for children), pots and pans. There is a fridge and separate freezer. Coffee machine, cafetière, tea pot, kettle, toaster, microwave, gas hob and oven.
The caravan is sited on a large, quiet plot at the end of a cul de sac, meaning there is no through traffic and a safe space is provided for children to play, with a large grassed area to the front of the caravan. There is a table and chairs to sit outside and take in the view of the countryside.
There is room to comfortably park 2 cars next to the caravan.
There is a fully stocked shop on site, along with Papa John’s Pizza, Cook’s Fish and Chips and Burger King takeaways. The main entertainment complex has had a £2million overhaul. Entertainment passes can be booked through Haven up to 4 weeks prior to your visit or when you arrive.
Some of the highlights include Crazy Golf, Bike Hire, Go Carts, Arcade, Pottery Painting, 2 Swimming Pools (inside and out) Aerial Adventure, Climbing Wall, Segway Lessons, Archery and many more.
Other family enjoyment can be had at the on-site Lake which houses multiple water sport activities to enjoy together with a 9-hole Golf course.
Pillows and duvets with protectors provided. Please bring your own bedding and towels.
No smoking allowed in the caravan.
