June on the River Spey at its finest. 🎣

A few memorable salmon from some unforgettable days on the river. Every fish is hard earned, every take is a thrill, and every moment spent on the Spey is one to appreciate.

There’s nowhere quite like the riverbank at Orton in June—long days, beautiful surroundings, and the privilege of fishing one of Scotland’s most iconic salmon rivers.

Here’s to more adventures, more memories, and a season to remember.

Well Hello!
Pine Martens are curious, playful and incredibly good climbers. They aren’t easy to spot in their woodland habitats and are relatively rare; which makes this sighting out and about at Orton extra special.
We think this is a juvenile as it was very curious and not as cautious as you would expect an adult to be.

The first few weeks of the season have provided some good sport for our anglers 🎣
We’ve enjoyed cold, misty mornings and generally overcast conditions but it was good to see a break in the clouds last week and some sunshine!
The highlight for any angler at this time of year is a beautiful springer - fresh from the sea, chrome bright and full of fight. .
So our congratulations go to Gary MacKenzie who caught a stunning 7lb silver bar from House Pool last week. 🎣 👏👏👏
Looking forward to March and continued ‘Tight Lines’ for our guests 🎣
