We were sorry to hear of the passing of Judith Chalmers, whose work inspired generations of people to explore, travel and create memories of their own.

Many years ago, Judith stayed with us at the Burlington Hotel whilst attending an event with family and friends. One small memory that has always stayed with us was her asking if we could arrange kippers and poached eggs for her husband instead of the set breakfast everyone else was having.

It’s a simple moment, but one that reflects what hospitality is all about making people feel looked after in the little details.

Thank you, Judith, for the role you played in putting travel at the heart of so many lives.
