A new Scottish hideaway to have on your radar: Thackray House in Callander pairs grand 17th-century charm with roaring fires, riverside gardens and quietly luxurious interiors in the heart of the Trossachs. ✨

"It's a gorgeous property set on the banks of the River Teith, painted in traditional Scottish pink, which dates back to 1625 and was once a hunting lodge of the Duke of Perth. You can see the history as soon as you reach the thick wooden front door, and you can feel it oozing from the pores of the building in the stunning drawing room and library. The rooms are rich with wood panelling, ornate carved ceilings, heavy drapes, roaring fires and plenty of sink-into sofas for either enjoying afternoon tea, a tipple before or after dinner, or simply whiling away a rainy day."

SO/ Auckland brings bold design, vibrant dining and sky-high views to New Zealand’s coolest city stay. 🕶️

"The hotel was opened in 2018 with interiors by Dutch design company Moooi (known for their lighting fixtures) together with a local fashion designer. There’s a subtle influence of money throughout the hotel – shades of copper, gold and brass - together with references to the country’s volcanic landscape. In the bedrooms, for example – with their floor-to-ceiling windows - copper and burnt orange feature in in the gauzy curtains, bedheads and chairs; carpets have a lava-like design, a 3-D piece of art on the walls has crater-like circles while bathrooms are stone-grey affairs with shiny gold basins."
