It’s so easy to get bogged down in single use plastics when running a holiday let. Especially when most stays are for a single night.

I’ve been refilling jars with coffee and tea bought in bulk - no pods, and no products individually wrapped in plastic. I spent an age finding UHT milk that didn’t come in plastic and I’ve finally cracked another big one…

Compostable coffee pods!

It did mean I had to buy the espresso machine they’re made for also, but a worthwhile investment to provide our guests with a proper good coffee without the enviro guilt! 💚

What’s more - I can stick ‘em on the heap for use in the garden. Let’s see how long they take to break down… 🤔

The sun is setting on a weekend of toil and graft. Upgraded the hob in the cottage kitchen and made some great progress in the new raised beds. Going to look amazing in full bloom!
