🌟 🌟 A Truly Inspiring Guest at Isabel’s Cabin 🌟 🌟

We’ve had the privilege of hosting an absolutely amazing guest over the past couple of nights — someone whose story has left a lasting impression on us here at Isabel’s Cabin.

Our guest reached out before arriving, asking for local taxi recommendations. We shared all the best contacts, and they ended up with a total gem — Malky from A & A Taxis. Malky looked after our guest all weekend and was nothing short of fantastic. Huge shoutout to A&A and Malky — thank you for going above and beyond! I’m sure Andy will be Smiling down and Proud of you all at A&A for carrying on his business and being so kind and compassionate towards people like this. Just like Andy always was. 💎 👼 ☺️

When our guest arrived, they shared why they were here. They had travelled to climb Ben Nevis — not just for the challenge, but to raise money for Epilepsy Scotland, a cause very close to their heart.

Our guest, who we now proudly call Wee Warrior, has an extraordinary story. After living with epilepsy and being in a wheelchair, they had to learn to walk again. The idea of climbing Ben Nevis — especially alone — was understandably daunting. They’d planned to do the climb with a personal trainer experienced in epilepsy support, but unfortunately, the trainer couldn’t make it. So, our Wee Warrior faced the mountain solo.

On a wild, wet, and windy Saturday, with limited visibility and tough conditions, this incredibly brave human set off from Isabel’s Cabin at 6:30am — and didn’t return until after 7pm. We were so relieved to see the taxi pull back up, knowing they were safe.

They returned exhausted, sore, with a sprained knee, but filled with pride and accomplishment — they had done it. Climbed Ben Nevis. Alone. For charity. For Epilepsy Scotland.

We are so in awe of your courage and determination, Wee Warrior. 💜

We’ve donated to their JustGiving page, and we’re sharing it below in hopes others might join us in helping them reach their fundraising goal. Every little bit counts.

Thank you, Wee Warrior, for choosing to stay with us. We can’t wait to welcome you back — next time, hopefully with your Service Dog and family for a well-earned, relaxing break at Isabel’s Cabin.

Any Shares of this post and donations would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Frank & Devin ☺️☺️
