Tomorrow is the Sunart & District Agricultural Society show over on the Ardnamurchan peninsula at Strontian.
With stock, craft and home baking judging, local craft, food, drink and charity stalls, and lots of activities, it is a great day out for the family.

Not long to go! We can’t wait to see you all at the show, lots for all ages to do. We also have the dance at night with Calamity Crofters from 9pm. 💃

I stepped well outside my comfort zone yesterday… I had my very first driving lesson! 🚗

Learning to drive has been on my “one day” list for years, but the longer I put it off, the more nervous I became. In the end, I realised the only way to get past the fear was to take that first step.

And you know what? I absolutely loved it! 😊

A huge thank you to my lovely friend, who sent me this fabulous good luck picture before my lesson. Yes, it’s AI-generated, but it certainly made me smile and gave me a little confidence boost before I got behind the wheel.

It just goes to show that it’s never too late to start something new. Sometimes the things we worry about the most turn out to be the things we enjoy the most. 💙

Hello, everyone! I’m Estelle, the proud owner and host of McNeill Holiday Lets, and I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you to the stunning Lochaber region!

A little about me: I grew up in Fort William, where my family still live. In the 90s, I relocated to Inverness to study Theatre Arts, initially aspiring to be a stage manager. Over the years, I've worn many hats—housekeeper, waitress, shoe shop employee, and even postie!

In 2018, I returned to Fort William, embracing the serene lifestyle this breathtaking area offers. I’m also an active member of our local Community African Drumming group, where I enjoy playing the DunDuns and Djembe.

Back in 2003, I faced a significant health challenge that led me to step back from work for a while. When the opportunity arose to buy my Granny Jean’s house—once a B&B—I was overjoyed. I cherish memories of her teaching me how to make beds with ‘hospital corners,’ although I must say, I’m very grateful for ‘fitted sheets’ these days! 🤣 Her time in hospitality was filled with beautiful memories and lasting friendships.

I officially launched McNeill Holiday Lets in 2017, and the journey has been incredibly fulfilling. I love sharing the breathtaking Lochaber area and its stunning scenery with our guests.

As your host, my top priority is to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Whether you need local tips, recommendations for hidden gems, or simply have questions, I’m here to assist you!

I enjoy activities like segwaying and swimming, and I had a blast trying indoor climbing. There’s still so much more to explore in this vibrant area! With numerous cafes and restaurants to discover, I can’t wait to share my favorite spots with you!
