💙 A little personal update from us at McNeill Holiday Lets 💙

Some of our lovely guests will have met my dad Neil during their stays here — he’s a big part of our family home and is often around to have a wee chat, say hello, or point guests in the direction of somewhere worth visiting. 😊

Unfortunately, Dad is currently in hospital after suffering a heart attack. Thankfully, he’s doing okay and, typically, is in good spirits! ❤️

Things are a little up in the air just now while we wait to see what happens next, so I may be a little quieter than usual and replies might take slightly longer than normal but we are still open for bookings.

We’re taking things one day at a time and keeping everything crossed for Dad. 🤞

Thank you to all our past guests who have met him and know exactly who I mean — I know he’s made quite a few friends along the way! ❤️

When you have drumming friends staying with you, apparently the sofa becomes a luxury nobody gets to enjoy! 😂🥁

What an absolutely fabulous weekend of West African drumming in Roy Bridge, surrounded by amazing people, incredible rhythms and lots of laughter. 💙

A huge thank you to the incredible Djembeföla, master drummer and Griot , along with Highland African Beats, Drumming Hands Edinburgh, the Black Isle Crew and all the wonderful friends who came along and made the weekend so special.

My house may have been bursting at the seams, and I am still recovering but my heart is full! 💙✨

🍂 Autumn has arrived at McNeill Holiday Lets 🍄

There’s something rather magical about this time of year in Lochaber. The colours begin to change, the woodland floor comes alive, and if you take a closer look, you’ll find all sorts of fascinating fungi popping up amongst the moss and fallen leaves. 🌿📸

Autumn is a wonderful time to explore the local woods and walking trails with a camera in hand. From tiny, delicate mushrooms to the more unusual and colourful varieties, fungi photography is a lovely way to slow down and appreciate the little things you might otherwise walk straight past.

And after a day out exploring, there’s nothing quite like returning to the warmth and comfort of a family home in the Highlands. 🏡

If you love autumn walks, woodland photography, and discovering the quieter side of Lochaber, this is a beautiful time of year to visit.
