Is ‘Bluebell bathing’ a thing?? It should be! Can’t get enough of these beautiful wee flowers. They are all around the farm and amongst the yurt woodland just now. The smell is amazing everywhere!

The piggies have arrived! We didn’t manage to have any last year so it’s great to see them back in the woods. They have a small pen to get used to their surroundings and in a few days they will be let out in to about an acre of woodland to root around in. These guys are Oxford sandy and black x Mangalitza. I think they are going to love life in the woods!

Spring is here! Between the seasonal showers there has been some really beautiful sunny spells. We now have 5 of our 8 yurts up and available to rent. It’s a great time of year to visit, beat the summer crowds and give off grid wild glamping a go!

Happy Easter everyone!

The first week of April has been non stop! We have had lots of new lambs, yurts going up for the season, a new calf and welcoming our first guests of the year.

The weather has been really quite challenging! Luckily our yurt guests have truly embraced the ‘wild glamping’ experience!

It’s been a very busy but glorious week! Things are full steam ahead as we prepare for the start of the season.

The first couple of yurts have gone up making the most of the sunny weather. We have also had a good couple of days harvesting fire wood from some of the wind fall trees from last year. It’s less than 2 weeks before lambing starts and the calves are due any day now!

We officially open the yurts on the 1st of April and still have some availability over the Easter holidays! Fingers crossed for more cracking weather!

Looking forward to better weather and outdoor pancake eating once again! Before you know it Easter will be here and we will be open for the 2026 season!! Limited number of yurts still available to book during the Easter holidays…

What a light show last night! Even without the camera the greens and reds were so impressive! It’s also unusual to see it so strongly to the south. Sometimes it pays to take the compost out late at night, might of completely missed it otherwise!

What a glorious start to 2026! It’s just been me and the animals keeping cosy and well fed, enjoying the stunning snowy weather. The thaw is fully underway now and it’s possible to start getting with some other jobs!
