Half-term sunshine, canvas doors open, and suddenly it feels like summer might actually be on its way ☀️
There’s something about this time of year in Cornwall — the fields are properly green again, the evenings stretch a little longer, and everything just feels a bit lighter.
Our little corner of Cornwall is looking pretty beautiful right now… and we’re very ready for a season of fresh air, starry skies and switching off for a while.
We’re not saying you should spend the summer glamping… but we’re also not not saying that... 😉
If you could disappear here for one evening this week… what would you bring first — a book, a bottle, or absolutely nothing at all?

🐝 Isn’t it amazing how much life can come from something so small?
One of our newest arrivals at Lost in Canvas is a colony of bees, now happily settling in on site. We’re genuinely excited to have them here.
Bees do far more than make honey — they pollinate around a third of the food we eat, help wildflowers thrive, and play a huge part in keeping the landscape healthy and full of life.
A single bee may visit thousands of flowers in one day, and together a colony works with incredible purpose. Quietly busy, all around us.
It felt like a fitting addition to Lost in Nature — another reminder that there’s always more going on here than first meets the eye.

There’s something about this time of year that always feels a bit special to us.
Longer evenings, lighter mornings, and that pull to be outside again. The season starts gently here — open space, fresh air, and time that stretches out in a way it doesn’t at home.
You arrive, unload the car, half unpack — then just end up outside. Kettle on, fire pit lit, someone wandering off to have a look around. Before long, you’re cooking, talking, watching the light change across the valley.
It turns into one of those evenings — food outside, jackets on, conversations going on longer than you meant to.
It’s not peak summer yet, but that’s what makes it good.
A bit more space. A bit more quiet. And that feeling of getting here just before everyone else does. 🥰
