One of my favourite things about Regatta week is the bunting! So many people decorating their houses! Here are just some of them that I captured as I walked through town during the week! 🚩🏳️🏴‍☠️

Regatta week is well under way here in Fowey and today is the Traders Carnival with a Mardi Gras theme!
It’s such a wonderful atmosphere in town with lots of businesses really going all out!
Special mention to who cooked the most amazing Beignets in true New Orleans Mardi Gras style! They were delicious!!
Looking forward to the Grand Carnival this evening!

We feel incredibly lucky to a small part of our lovely guest’s holidays and can’t believe we have filled a whole guest book already with such wonderful reviews!
We so appreciate them taking the time to share their memories and details of special moments of their stays with us!
And so many returning guests that feel like friends already!

Well that was a fun way to spend the morning! 🤭

There’s no better way to spend a beautiful, sunny Sunday than out on the water!
It’s great fun (a good workout!) and you see the town very differently from the water!
It’s easy to hire Kayak’s, paddle boards and little boats or take one of their many organised harbour tours and trips further out to sea!
The river is a huge part of your holiday at Retreat to Fowey so we always recommend getting in it, on it and even just by it!
It’s a magical thing!

A fantastic Saturday evening
Unbelievably it was our first visit but definitely won’t be our last! We loved it!
Fantastic venue, great tunes courtesy of (definitely appreciated by Mr K who danced all night!) and a delicious passion fruit margarita or two! 😉
I will be adding it to the “What to Do” section of our info pack for sure!
Maybe we’ll see you there!

Walk with me down to Readymoney for a morning swim!
It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach and these beautiful summer morning swims are, I think, our reward for the freezing cold, winter ones!
The water is wonderful at the moment, crystal clear, flat and warm!! Yes, it actually feels warm!

A wonderful late evening swim yesterday, just bliss after a busy day in the sunshine!
We really are so lucky to have Readymoney Beach just a 5 minute walk away!
