A cracking week-day meal deal this month at Findlay’s Hotel.

Heading there from us you can cut through Asda’s car park and it’s just over a mile walk/cycle with a wide foot/cycle path all the way (and all downhill with the sea in front of you on the way back 🌊)

We are turning 5 years old! Saturday 18th July

We’d love to have a full house in celebration, especially if some of our friends and regular customers we’ve made along the way are able to join us ❤️

All our pitches are currently available so why not come and join us? If you haven’t stayed here before then come and meet us.

We might not celebrate with alcohol but we could crack out the Glenbuchty rhubarb homemade cordial (lovely in sparkling water but probably not a bad addition to something stronger!) and if the weather behaves (July in Scotland, what could go wrong?!) light up our garden fire-pit too and listen to the seals ‘singing’

In case you haven’t seen this.

We’ve heard a few of our visitors recently say they’ve experienced a few issues.

Hopefully for all of us sites listed on the app they’ll get it sorted out soon 🤞

Our German guests staying tonight have just returned from a meal at the The Captain's Table and were singing its praises.

This is an award winning family run restaurant in town, which specialises in using local produce.

They are dog friendly too 🐾

If you enjoy eating out this is definitely one to note for a visit to Fraserburgh, and don’t forget you can you stay with us for just £5 a night per van.

This year a total of 52 beaches have received Scotland’s Beach Award by Keep Scotland Beautiful. 8 are in Aberdeenshire and guess what? 2 of those are here in Fraserburgh as both ends of Fraserburgh’s gorgeous beach have received them once again - for the 19th time!

Dog friendly, gorgeous sand and clear waters.
Well deserved.

Our wish to visit Fraserburgh’s beach drew us out to this north east point of Scotland back in 2019 when we were travelling in our van. We fell in love and swapped the beautiful, but over crowded, beaches of Bournemouth for these wilder, uncommercialised, coasts.

If you are heading out this way we offer a welcoming, affordable, legal place to stay on your travels at our cottage by the sea, which is a certified Aire.

£5 to stay per night per van
£5 to empty your cassette
🐾 Pet friendly

Drop ins are very welcome with bookings happily taken too

I know for some of you you’ll know the feeling of ‘losing ’ your partners to hobbies like golf, football, or perhaps even crafting, for hours on end.

Not me. I lose mine to the aire.

He was last seen an hour and a half ago answering the door to our late arrivals from last night. I’ve since seen him opening the shed and pulling out a ladder. Who knows what he’s up to 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I suspect someone is getting excellent value and assistance for their fiver to stay. That’s one thing I love about him - his willingness to try to help anyone (even if he does talk a lot 😂)

Anyway, I’m off to work on some Jewellery creations, so here’s a short video of our aire that took hours of his time too 💜

This is a fabulous local restaurant and their ‘Karen’ night is very popular. If you’re thinking of staying in the area next weekend why not book a table with them on Friday for a fun evening?

As it’s only a fiver to stay with us you can afford to treat yourself to tasty local produce in this family run restaurant

These are a couple of events in that are coming up on the first two Sundays in June and are worth noting for your travel plans.

The car rally is over 30 years old and wonderful vintage vehicles can be seen there and travelling around town, while the Glover festival celebrates some of the fascinating history of the town.

Cecilia will be at both with a stall for her Jewel Destiny Jewellery too 💍🪎
