West Wight Self Catering The West Wight The West Wight is the local name for the western half of the Isle of Wight.

It covers 50% of the Island's land mass but has less than 20% of the population. So it isn't surprising that it's a bit different - quieter, less traffic, fewer towns and villages and plenty of countryside and coast. The Studio Apartment is close to Freshwater Bay in the heart of the West Wight.
