Today I got my 5 minutes of fame 😂

Apparently the demand for sea view properties is on the up. And as Sea View Cottage has a sea view, as the name may suggest, I woke up this morning to a request to go live in BBC Essex this morning and talk to them!

I did initially balk at the idea, I had a few things on and immediately thought I don't want my awful voice on the radio, but my son persuaded me otherwise and I managed to do it live whilst he was talking part in a swim safe session down on the beach in Clacton!!

Thank you for having me on your show, I was rather nervous and hadn't really had an opportunity to do any prep, but I think I did ok!? And I also want to shout out to the other Jo from who was on the piece with me and rents out beach huts in both Frinton and Mersea.

Some of the best places near Frinton aren’t the obvious ones.

Over the years, guests at Sea View Cottage have shared some lovely little finds with me - places that often end up being the unexpected highlight of their stay.

A little garden upgrade for sunny afternoons at Sea View Cottage ☀️

The new patio set has arrived, and it’s already become the perfect spot for a leisurely lunch, an evening drink, reading your holiday book or simply sitting back and watching the dogs or kids enjoy the garden after a day on the beach.

July is one of my favourite times in Frinton. Warm sea air, quieter mornings, long evenings and plenty of space to properly switch off.
