“The Nook is a wonderful place to stay. It’s so peaceful and tranquil. The accommodation is fantastic and everything you need to cook and prepare a meal is provided. The rooms are really spacious and it was so lovely to have proper, comfortable sofas to sit on! Wifi was available. If we are in the area again we would definitely look to book The Nook again!”

Welcome to paradise! 🤩
Our beautiful, unspoilt corner of the Lake District has inspired many people over the years. Cumbrian born poet William Wordsworth wrote “The Brothers” after visiting with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, former US president Bill Clinton first proposed to his wife Hilary on the banks of Ennerdale Water, and more recently the valley was one of the filming locations for the Danny Boyle movie, “28 Years Later.”

Come and discover its beauty for yourself with a stay in one of our beautiful holiday cottages.
