Spring feels like it’s finally giving us the vitamin D we are all craving.

We can start looking forward to sunny trips. So I thought I’d share what availability we have left in April and May here at Northern Rural Retreats.

The old dairy, Gainford, DL2 3DL

Located near the village of Barnard castle, Raby castle, high force and multiple villages, farm shops and coffee shops. we sleep 2 people and boats gorgeous open beams, log burner, double ended roll top bath in the bedroom and wood fired hot tub in the rear private yard.

Dogs welcome with treats and bowls provided.

Located on the border of the Pennines, near Barnard castle, Raby castle and high force. Gorgeous decor, 2 bedrooms sleeping 4, with bioethanol fuel fire giving the feel of a log burner without the hassle.

A short drive form Kielder and otterburn, nestled in the heart of Northumberland, close to castles and water falls and a selection of pubs, coffee shops and a brewery walking distance.

We had been superhosts on Airbnb for nearly 5 years where all 3 cottages can be booked. We also recently set up our own website with all 3 cottages and it is 20% cheaper than Airbnb.

Getting Regular bookings helps us keep the costs down all year round. Otherwise we have to increase the price on the popular months to help cover the quieter months, and we don’t like to do that. We want everyone to enjoy our cottages all year round

Dogs are welcome at all cottages and we even provide bowls and treats for them.
