A comfortable stay is about more than four walls. 🏡✨

It’s the fresh bedding, a place to enjoy your morning coffee, a kitchen that actually feels usable, and those little details that make somewhere feel a little more like home.

Across The One Retreats, we put thought into the spaces our guests come back to at the end of the day.

Because the little things matter. 💛

Cardiff has plenty going on this September 👀

From Cardiff Devils ice hockey and the St Fagans Food Festival to NoFit State Circus, there are plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy the city this month. 🏒🍴🎪

And if you’re visiting Cardiff for an event, a weekend away or a few days exploring the city, Cardiff Bay Apartment is a great place to base yourself, with Mermaid Quay, restaurants, waterfront walks and the city centre within easy reach.

We might be biased, but Cardiff is looking pretty good this September.

Barry Vibes is coming up to a year with us - and in that time, we’ve only had two bookings.

That might sound unusual for serviced accommodation, but that’s exactly how Barry Vibes is meant to work — fewer bookings, longer stays.

Both have been longer stays, rather than a constant turnover of one or two-night bookings.

For contractors, project teams, corporate guests, relocations or people needing temporary accommodation, having somewhere that feels like a proper home can make a big difference when you’re staying for weeks or months.

Barry Vibes is a 3 - bedroom house with unrestricted street parking, making it particularly practical for teams working in and around Barry.

It’s available again now.

If you’re a company with work ongoing in Barry, or sourcing long-term accommodation for a team or client, we’d love to hear from you.

We recently hosted a lovely mother and son at our Newport apartment during an international tennis tournament.

Her son played brilliantly and won 3 matches during the event, an amazing achievement. What inspired us most was seeing the dedication behind it all. His mum travels around the world with him, supporting him every step of the way, looking after his diet, routine, and being there for every match.

We were so glad our apartment and convenient public transport access could make their stay a little easier during the tournament.

After checking in, her message simply said:
“Beautiful, I’m glad.”

Moments like this remind us why we enjoy hosting. We were also grateful she took the time to leave us a Google review afterwards.

Wishing them both continued success on their journey 🎾
