Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes on Friday.
I cooked a chicken stew in the slow cooker, then took it up to mum and dads. Had a really good catch up with them. I am really lucky, 68 and still have both parents.
We had one funny bit while there. I asked Teresa (my sister, who lives in New Zealand) what mum and dad like for desert. She said mum = ice cream and dad = apple crumble. So Friday morning Audrey goes to Tesco and buys ice cream and apple crumble, comes home and cooks the crumble in the afternoon.
After eating dinner I asked dad what he wanted for pudding, he answered "apple crumble" and went to the kitchen and returned with the pudding. I looked at it and wondered why it was in a glass dish, when we had brought it up in the foil dish it came with.
When we were leaving I put the slow cooker back in the bag we used to get it there. As I put it in the bag I felt something wrapped in a towel, opened it up and it was the apple crumble. It was at that point I realised why the pudding was in a glass dish.

Wednesday collected this nice little 5th wheel in the Midlands going to Dorset.
Arrived at the farm, a nice few months old trailer, hitched up and everything worked, perfect job.
All going well 20 miles from delivery and the boys in blue are sitting on the side of the road. Next they are a longside me with a follow me sign. I follow them into a DVSA Checkpoint, they do all their checks and all is good. They decide to put me over the weighbridge, not a problem it's only a small trailer and I know it is empty.
The truck is fine, the trailer front axle is 1960 Kg rear 1760Kg. And now we have a problem in the UK & EU there is a maximum limit of 3500Kg for trailers with electric brakes, this one is 3720Kg (and dont forget the trailer is empty).
The trailer is prohibited from moving on a public road and a £200 fine imposed.
