Trevaskis Farm visit today, a pick your own session followed by coffee and cake. The site also has animals to visit, a farm shop and restaurant with phenomenal cakes and desserts. Well worth a visit although yields of fruit were lower than normal but we still managed to get these beauties and it worked out cheaper than the supermarket prices.

Here in the gardens at Boscrege Villa in just 15 minutes the Merlin Bird App recognised these 10 birds, two are rare, the Spotted Flycatchers are hear and have seen a pair so hopefully we will have more. We have not sighted the Red Crossbill as yet.

Have you thought about visiting the sea side town of Looe whilst staying here. From St Erth Station it’s a two hour trip, you can arrive by approximately 10am and leave at 7pm or later. Plenty of time to enjoy a quick swim at the beach, some seafood at Pengellys Fish Shop, or wonder the narrow streets full of history. The branch line from Liskeard runs through a wooded valley and along the estuary to the edge of the town. Opposite the station is the free house pub called the Globe Inn.
