It's small things sometimes, but refreshing the 🌸 pots by the front door for summer always makes me really happy 😊. The weather today is just stunning and glaisdale is buzzing from the mini arts festival. We will be popping along this evening for a boogie 😇🥰

🧺 Changeover Day at Laneside 🧺

A busy same-day changeover today in both Athelas and Meadowsweet, but there’s something very satisfying about fresh linens, shiny floors and everything ready to welcome new guests 😊

One small thing those that know me will know… I do enjoy a cheeky biscuit 🍪😂

Today’s Athelas guests have some Golden Caramel “Gold Bar” digestives waiting for them alongside crisp bedding and a cosy cottage ready for their stay.

It’s always lovely preparing everything for arrivals, especially on bright sunny days like this ☀️

🎨 Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage 2026 🎨

We’re so pleased to see the dates announced for one of our favourite weekends on the Yorkshire coast 😊

The wonderful Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage returns on:

🖼 Preview Evening – Friday 11th September, 6pm–9.30pm
🎨 Festival Weekend – Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September, 10am–5.30pm

Around 100 artists will be exhibiting throughout the beautiful fishing village, alongside heritage talks, live music, street buskers and new lighting installations.

It’s such a special event, with art, crafts and jewellery displayed throughout the winding streets and historic cottages of Staithes. One of the loveliest ways to explore this unique seaside village.
