Nature is slowly taking over the chapel walls 🌿
Our neighbour hates the elder. I love it.
When we moved here 10 years ago it was tiny, but now it towers over the garden, bringing shade, birdsong, and a feeling of being tucked away from the world. I honestly can’t imagine the garden without it.
And then there’s the valerian, happily growing out of the cracks and joints in the old stone walls, completely ignoring where it’s supposed to be. Every year it appears in new places and it never fails to make me smile.
I know some people prefer things neat and controlled, but one of my favourite things about living here is watching nature slowly make the chapel its own. đź’š
Sometimes the most beautiful gardens are the ones that have a mind of their own.
