I checked the hotel’s own history first. The heritage building was built in 1902 as Glasgow’s City Parish Hall, and still retains features including stained glass, original fireplaces, intricate tilework and glass domes, with the Glasgow city crest incorporated into the architecture.
A wee bit of Glasgow history lives right here.
Long before we became AC Hotel Glasgow, part of our home was Glasgow’s City Parish Hall, built back in 1902.
More than a century later, so much of that history is still around us. Stained glass windows, original fireplaces, beautiful glass domes and even the Glasgow city crest can still be found throughout the building.
It has always been a place for people to come together. We just get to continue the story.
Old Glasgow character, a new chapter, and a very warm welcome waiting inside.
