Yesterday was the annual installation of office bearers at Lodge Possilpark 1330 and what a day it was as Bro John Gallacher was placed into the chair of the lodge, the installation ceremony itself was carried out with dignity and aplomb by 2 excellent installing masters Bro Brian Brown and Bro Sandy Sproul ,to all our visitors that attended we thank you and hope to visit you all soon.

Today is the day of our masonic lodge annual installation of office bearers, it is always a wonderful occasion for Lodge Possilpark 1330 , a day for meeting up with old friends and making new friends, a day of watching some great ceremony and time to reflect on those who are missed from the lodge but a true highlight of the year but I know that amongst our friends on Facebook a few are curious about what goes on and maybe even have an interest in joining if you do please contact us and let's see if its for you.

Yesterday RWM Bro William Brown and Bro George Brown PM paid a visit to Bro William Dignon to present him with a 50 year certificate.
Bro Dignon was an extremely active member of the lodge over the years and has held many offices but for the last few years has had to step back from the lodge due to ill health but has always asked to be kept up to date with everything happening with the lodge.
The lodge are very proud of having Bro Dignon as a member and congratulate him on reaching this milestone.

From a modest gathering in a church hall on Saracen Street in 1924, where 33 visionary brethren convened, to becoming a cornerstone of the Possilpark community, Lodge Possilpark 1330 has proudly upheld the traditions of Freemasonry for a century.

On January 29, 1925, our lodge was officially consecrated, marking the beginning of a journey rooted in unity, tradition, and service. Our chosen colors, the Stuart Dress Tartan, and our emblematic crest symbolize the enduring values we cherish.

As we reflect on our storied past, we honor the dedication of our founding members and the countless brethren who have contributed to our legacy. Their commitment laid the foundation for a lodge that continues to thrive and inspire.

Well today is the day for to take on the epic 23 mile raising funds for West Scotland children's deaf society, this is close to everyone's heart as one of Lodge Possilpark members son Joey was left partially deaf after contracting meningitis as a baby. So if you see anyone in tartan and wearing a team Joey t-shirt give them a cheer on their way.

Brethren, on Friday night at the sportsman's dinner I made a very personal appeal at the end on behalf of my grandson Joey who was left partially deaf after contracting meningitis as a baby and his mum and dad are doing the kiltwalk on behalf of the west of Scotland Deaf Childrens society at the end of this month, the total raised on the night was £150 and I thank each and everyone who contributed, I have now paid this amount to the just giving page under the name of Lodge Possilpark 1330 and the donation can be viewed here https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rossbaikie-67977b040b89858fc203a767?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL
