Last night Thursday 14 May 2026 was our last meeting as we headed into Summer recess.
We were fortunate on this occasion to host a Reigning Masters Degree followed by our Cheese and Wine Harmony.
Our sincere thanks to the Masters for treating us to an excellent degree and to the brethren in attendance for your support.
It was a full house with a really nice atmosphere and a wonderful way to end the first half of the year.
Massive thanks to the Galen team who made it all possible .

21st January 2026 ,3 Past Masters of Lodge Galen, 1285,Bros Iain Munro,James .S.Young and Bro Ian McGregor attended Partick St Mary's 117,to witness two EAs passed to the Fellowcraft Degree,by Lodge
Thistle and Rose Lodge No 73,who were headed by their master Bro Peter Kane who is also a Past Master of Lodge Galen 1285. Well done
to all who took part, and best wishes to the 2 Latest Fellowcrafts of 117 from The Master and Brethren of Galen 1285.

Congratulations to Bro Derek Purdie the newest Right Worshipful Master of our lodge.
Yesterday we witnessed him being placed into the chair in a splendid ceremony conducted by his Installing Masters Bro Andrew Mushet P.M. and Bro Peter Kane P.M.
Theteafter the brethren present enjoyed a truly tasty and plentiful
meal followed by speeches and harmony.
We wish Brother Purdie a good and happy term in office.
To the office-bearers who stood in at the last minute, you were superb and contributed to a wonderful afternoon.

1340,on Saturday afternoon.
