Whats the story?
Hi all, I just wanted to take the time to tell you about our small business and what we believe to be our goals here at Carnbooth House. Since the hotel opened its doors in 2010, we have held hundreds of weddings and numerous private family events, that we hope have created ever lasting memories for all of those happy couples who got married and all of the families who have celebrated birthdays’, anniversaries or communion or christenings’. The hotel and its small team of passionate and dedicated staff have always strived to provide the very best service, and to always be warm, friendly and approachable.
Over the last year, the hotel has ran into some issues with our Marquee. Which resulted unfortunately in us losing our alcohol licence for the outside Marquee specifically. This has been devastating and so disappointing for all of us here at the hotel, not to mention the numerous couples that we had no option but to let down and ruin the years of plans they had made for their big day at our beautiful venue. It is something that has greatly affected our business over the course of the last 6 months as it has damaged the image of the hotel, created uncertainty for the future of the business going forward, caused concern for anyone that had booked an event with us or were thinking about booking one and caused worry for our staff that weren’t sure if their jobs were secure.
Sadly, additionally some of the events that did book with us in the first half of this year were poorly mismanaged and dealt with incorrectly which resulted in us not being able to fully give the high standard of service that we have always been able to year after year. Which caused great frustration for those of us who have worked here for the last 5 or 6 years and want to see the place do well and for it to always be providing the very best service.
