A wildflower meadow in the making! This year we have started working with a neighbour who wants to recreate flower rich meadows on 3 of her fields. The meadows are long since lost, but the pasture has never been reseeded so is comprised of wild plants and may have a great seed bank. We are grazing the land tightly with these lovely young ewe lambs to allow seeds to germinate and grow next year. It will grow until August to allow plants to flower and set seed. We will also add some yellow rattle at the end of this season and some other beauties to help nature recover.
