I had the privilege of hosting the film crew this week while they were filming in Glenfinnan for Danny Boyles' latest film. It was interesting to watch all that's involved in creating different scenes. The house was buzzing, and the atmosphere was palpable. All the crew were so friendly and respectful of the house. Even managed to get a chat with Danny himself and a lovely photo for posterity 😁 Can't wait for the release in 2025

Did you know The Armoury is also locally known as The Castle?

As part of our planning application, we carried out an archaeological report. The findings were interesting, to say the least. This is a short summary of their findings. Crazy to think that there is a possibility the site could have had a connection to the 1745 Jacobite rising.

Anyone who knows me knows I hate to see old furniture going to the landfill. They have sooo much more life in them. I love to upcycle and give furniture, lamps, vases, anything really a new life. So this little stag bedside, along with another I have had in storage for a long time, will be getting a revamp. It will take pride of place in the double bedroom of The Armoury.
